terms & conditions for product warranty
ECO GAS Automotive equipment is sold with expectation that the product is to be free of defects in material and workmanship, in the event of a faulty product being supplied the following Terms and Conditions shall apply.
ECO GAS Automotive will repair or at our option replace free of charge any component supplied directly by ECO GAS Automotive , if the returned product falls within the following specified warranty periods:
• New Vehicle Warranty: 3 year/100,000 klm warranty (whichever comes first) on all Parnell EFI complete kits, Parnell EFI under bonnet and factory endorsed kits.
• Used Vehicle Warranty: 2 year/50,000 klm warranty (whichever comes first) on all Parnell EFI complete kits, Parnell EFI under bonnet or factory endorsed kits.
• On all carburetor kits , components and accessories sold by ECO GAS Automotive a 1 year / 30,000 klm warranty (whichever comes first) will apply.
• Reconditioned components including converters will be warranted for 3 months.
The reference date for the commencement of warranty will be the date of invoice. ECO GAS Automotive reserves the right to ascertain as to whether the fault has been caused by faulty workmanship, or has contributed to any part of the fault. Should a component fail within the warranty period, the replacement component shall be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.
Items for which we will not accept warranty charges
The following items are not covered under ECO GAS Automotive Terms & Conditions of Warranty:
• Time taken for fault diagnosis or trouble shooting. ECO GAS Automotive operate a highly professionally trained Technical Department that will assist in fault diagnosis and trouble shooting.
• Defects or damage caused by accident, alteration, incorrect installation, abuse, neglect, misuse and acts of God.
• Rectification of unauthorised repairs.
• Replacement of standard serviceable items and components such as filters, spark plugs, leads etc.
• Defects attributable to irregularities or contaminants in LPG fuel
• Freight costs involved in returning defective parts.
• Consequential damages or losses which may occur as a result of failure of the product.
• Repairing or replacing product or accessories that have not been supplied by ECO GAS Automotive.
• Replenishment of fuel LPG or petrol after performing any service or warranty work.
• Any component that has physical damage, or any component that has been dismantled or returned incomplete
• Defects caused by lack of regular service
